Special B5 Hookbaits

TThese ultra tough hook baits have been specifically developed to withstand the attentions of nuisance fish, eels, crayfish, poisson chat etc, etc. They are also an absolute must if your chosen water suffers from the problem of diving birds, or if you need to leave your baits out for long periods of time. Available in 16mm, 20mm and dumbbell shape.

These Rock Hard Hookers are not shelf life and must be kept in the freezer and taken out as needed or air dried for indefinite usage.

Once again these special hook baits have been made with the same ingredients and attractor profile as our Shellfish B5 frozen ready-mades but contain exactly the right amount of cork granules to give them a 30% added buoyancy factor and to counteract the hook weight. These near neutral buoyancy hook baits are the perfect answer to ‘rig shy’ fish and could give you a massive edge! Available in 16mm only.

I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve sat behind the rods, only to reel in and find my hook bait has gone - very frustrating! Eels have often been the culprits, whilst on other waters the large amount of nuisance fish endlessly nibbling away has caused the damage. Either way I’m convinced I would have caught more fish had this not been the case! Diving coots, tufties and in shallow waters swan’s have also been a big problem in the past – but not any more!

The above Rock Hard Hookers have completely solved this problem and although crayfish will eventually ‘claw’ them off, they will still give you several more hours ‘bite time’ than standard out-the-bag boilies.

The benefits of the Balanced Wafters are clear to see, incidentally, they are also very tough if you are looking for a hybrid between the two. The thinking behind their development is that their added buoyancy counteracts the weight of the hook and hook link, thus making the Wafters behave more like a natural free offering and shooting back into their mouth far easier as they ‘hoover’ around the baited area. They have undoubtedly provided me and others with a vital edge when it comes to fishing for ultra shy carp and provide perfect presentation when fishing over soft silt or patchy weed.

Although these special hook baits need to be kept in the freezer and taken out as needed, they can be further air-dried (they are already partially air-dried) for another 10-days in warm, dry conditions to give them an indefinite shelf life. They can then be left permanently in your rusksack for when needed. Be very careful when piercing them once fully dried and you may need to adopt a small nut drill. Use our B5 glug or Fermented Stick liquid for added attraction or to re-hydrate.
