Essential Boilie Range
Here at Essential, we roll several hundred kilos of bait every week, all of which is professionally hand rolled on tables! In other words, our baits are not ‘bulked out’ with cheaper/poorer ingredients to make them to go through industrial rolling machines!
Fresh farm eggs are delivered to our site on a daily basis and we mix in extremely small batch runs. This enables us to keep the perfect consistency with every single batch. After the eggs have been cracked, we even weigh out the exact amount of liquid egg required for each batch! This is the only way to totally guarantee that every single batch will be absolutely identical.
We pride ourselves on quality control and all of the baits that we produce are made fresh on a daily basis and sent out on a next day delivery service for you to put into your freezer.
We DO NOT send out frozen bait and risk the chance of it thawing out.

Shellfish B5
What more can we say about this unbelievable bait! It has possibly accounted for the capture of more big carp than any other bait in history! It is a phenomenal fish catcher that has the uncanny, but incredibly consistent knack of nailing the bigger fish.
The B5 is a very high quality food bait that contains a combination of low temperature and soluble fish proteins in conjunction with milk proteins, milk fats, crustacean extracts and Robin Red. Due to the high inclusion of natural crustacean extracts, the B5 has an unusual shell-like crunchy texture. In fact, it was the first commercial bait ever developed to achieve this, and although over the years many have tried to imitate the B5, no one has even got close!
The B5 needs little introduction and will work straight from the off, whilst at the same time carry on catching consistently year after year. Many anglers believe that it’s the most successful ‘big fish’ bait ever developed, and if you’re trying to plot the downfall of a particularly big fish, or simply just want to catch more than anyone else – get on the B5!

Winterised B5
Between November 1st and the end of February each year, the Shellfish B5 is automatically winterised with a few cold-water modifications. This includes the addition of a lecithin supplement and a 50% reduction of Red Salmon Oil.

Force 10
Based upon the legendary B5 but contains a number of modifications, including the addition of meat proteins and extracts, together with our F10-Stim compound. The Force-10 is another very high quality food source that still contains the same crunchy shell-like texture as the B5, but is an ideal alternative if you are looking for something a little different.

Cream-CSM
An extremely popular and highly successful bait that boasts an impressive list of big fish captures from a variety of difficult venues. It contains a finely balanced blend of soluble milk proteins in conjunction with our own exclusive combination of selected bird foods.
The Cream-CSM has got a brilliant winter track record but is also a very good all-season alternative to the more commonly used fish meals.

Cranberry Red
This high quality bird food/milk protein combo was primarily developed for cold-water use, but just like the Cream-CSM, it makes a very good alternative to fish meals during the warmer months. One of the ingredients included is Robin Red, which gives the finished bait a deep red colouration. If you’re not sure what bait to use when the temperatures begin to drop, the Cranberry Red is certainly worth considering.

During the winter months we also produce two further dedicated cold-water baits, these being the Pineapple-CSM and the Black Pepper-CSM. Both of these boilies are based on the successful Cream-CSM recipe but have got a different attractor profile. These boilies are available through our shop outlets during the winter, or from our dedicated custom bait rolling service throughout the year.
Mike on Nutritional Boilies
I can’t begin to stress the importance of using a high quality food bait when it comes to catching carp on a regular basis. A bait formulated with nutritional ingredients will be sending out food signals long after the liquid attractors have been dispersed, this due to the fact that the ingredients themselves will be breaking down and sending out messages of food into the surrounding water.
Cheaper baits that have little or no nutritional value might sound more attractive on the pocket, but they will cost you dearly when it comes to producing the goods. Once any liquid attractors have dispersed, the bait will not be sending out any food signals at all, but further to this, will have no nutritional benefit whatsoever.
Carp, like all other fish, soon learn to recognise a food source and will continue to eat it again and again if it provides them with a sense of nutritional satisfaction. They have the ability to detect a nutritional food source prior to consumption (food signals coming from the bait) and after ingestion. With this in mind, we have developed what we believe to be the highest quality range of nutritional food baits available, and the success of the B5 alone has certainly gone some way to proving this.
